Good morning, and Merry Christmas to you and your family all,
Eric your podcast this morning brought…back some old teachings that I learned as a kid on ancient Egypt, Giza, etc. Interesting enough though as a kid like most I grew up in the V2 church, and my mother taught religion class. She didn’t always play by the book when it came to things (as small as the word reconciliation not being the right word, communion, etc).
Likewise my dad long told me growing up about the schism to come, and much of what you say when it comes to the anti-christ (capital A). Yet one thing you mentioned I’d ask you to please provide (when you’re able) where the connection to Sufi Islam comes in with the Anti-Christ. Obviously that’s a mystical form of Islam that combound Sunni Islam with other native pagan African traditions as Islam spread across Africa.
With Islam yes shia islam believe in Imam Mahjadi (they hidden Imam) who is in hiding in Syria. Sunni and Shia both see Syria as an important area in escotology. But not sure where African Islamic Mysticism comes into play with Syria (even if they Anti-Christ is Jewish and of the Tribe of Dan (which yes our religion teaches he will be). Both Shia and Sunni sects of Islam don’t recognize mystic sufism as being Islam.
Given all that I just said from both via an Islamic dual sect lens (Sunni and Shia,) and from a traditional Catholic lens I am curious as to where your basis for Sufism being key to Catholic end times teaching on the Anti-Christ comes in.
