A former outdoor survival instructor, James currently works as a deputy sheriff in a suburb of Oklahoma City. He is attached to a Federal warrant task force. They specialize in locating and arresting dangerous and violent criminals.
In addition to being a serious prepper for the last several years, He has a long history of being outdoors and developing survival skills. It started in his teens, as he was a Boy Scout. he loved it, and made the rank of Eagle Scout at age 16. He camped every summer, including a 2 week stay in Scout Camp at Philmont, NM.
In his late teens, he attended a 3 month outdoor survival school, where he eventually became an instructor. He taught others primitive living skills such as land navigation, primitive fire making (bow drill), how to locate and secure water, how to make primitive shelters, and other survival skills.
